2019년 제 145회 켄터키 더비는 2두가 출주 취소되어 총 19두가 레이스를 펼쳤다. 인기 1위마 7번 맥시멈 시큐리티(Maximum Security)가 레이스를 주도하며 제일 먼저 결승선을 통과했지만 심의에 걸려 18번마 다음인 17위로 강착 당했다.
4코너 돌면서 외측으로 사행하며 타마의 주행을 방해한 것으로 보인다.
1착은 인기 14위마 20번 Country House, 2착은 인기 11위마 13번 Code of Honor, 3착은 인기 4위마 Tacitus가 입상하며 초고배당이 터졌다.
유일한 해외마인 15번 일본의 마스터 펜서(Master Fencer)는 후미에서 경주를 전개했지만 직선주로에서 추입에 나서며 6착으로 입상했다.
경주마 인기 순위는 켄터키 더비 마권을 발매한 일본중앙경마회(JRA) 순위다. 미국 순위와 약간 차이가 있다.
복승식 3010.3배, 쌍승식 6386.4배, 삼쌍승식 162982.1배의 핵폭탄급 고배당이 출현했다.
삼쌍승식에 1천원 베팅하면 환급금이 무려 1억 6천만원이다.

Maximum Security disqualified, Country House wins Kentucky Derby 145
Maximum Security led all the way home in Saturday’s 145th running of the Kentucky Derby (G1) over a sloppy track at Churchill Downs, but Country House was declared the winner after jockey Flavien Prat lodged an objection.
Repeated replays showed Maximum Security drifting off the rail in the final bend and floating other rivals wide. Following a long stewards inquiry, Maximum Security was disqualified and Country House crowned the winner of the 2019 Kentucky Derby.
Maximum Security swept to the front under jockey Luis Saez and set splits of :22.31, :46.62, 1:12.50 and 1:38.63 down the backstretch and around the final turn. It was still anyone’s game heading into the lane but Maximum Security dug deep and repelled all comers to post a final time of 2:03.93 for 1 1/4 miles.
Once the race was declared official, trainer Bill Mott earned his first Kentucky Derby winner.
Code of Honor was elevated to second, Tacitus moved up to third and Improbable took fourth. Game Winner took the fifth spot.
