미국 산타아니타파크 경마장 암말 출전 젠야타 스테익스(Zenyatta Stakes, G2)

젠야타 스테익스(Zenyatta Stakes)는 27일 미국 캘리포니아주 산타아니타파크 경마장 더트 8.5펄롱(1700m)코스에서 시행하는 3세 이상 암말 G2 대상경주다.

올해 대회 상금은 10만 달러 감액된 20만 달러이다.

“Win and You’re In” 11월 경마올림픽 브리더스컵 챌린지 시리즈 지정 경주다. 우승마에 브리더스컵 디스터프(Breeders’ Cup Distaff) 우선 출전권이 주어진다.

경주명은 2009년 암말 최초로 브리더스컵 클래식을 제패한 젠야타(Zenyatta)를 기리기 위해 2012년 레이디스 시크릿 스테익스(Lady’s Secret Stakes)에서 변경되었다.

젠야타는 2007년 11월 27일 데뷔전 우승을 시작으로 19연승을 기록, 마지막 은퇴경주 2010년 BC클래식 대회 2연패 도전에서 블레임(Blame)에 이어 2착에 그쳤다. 유일한 패배를 기록했다. 통산 20전 19승
